THE LITTLE TRIBE OF BENJAMIN
Pastor Jack White
The Spirit of the Lord gave me a revelation likening FBC to the Tribe of Benjamin, specifically as found in Psalm 68. This Psalm was written about the faithfulness of God giving Israel victory over its enemies. The victory was preceded by a procession into the sanctuary, with the Tribe of Bejamin as the leader. Take a look at the flag of Benjamin—Does it look familiar? It’s just like satan to take anything that God made for good and steal it for use as a counterfeit. Today this flag has been stolen by satan to be used as a “flag of pride” for transgenders, among other abominations.
We have various community outreaches at FBC as we “lead the procession”. These outreaches include our CHO Ministry, as well as financial support to Vandergrift’s Officer Gray and the TryLife Center in Lower Burrell. In the natural, we may not see evidence of victory; however, there is a battle in the spiritual world that we are winning as we march forward.
Why do I say that? The enemy showed his anger to Pastor Debbie as she sat on her porch one sunny day. A local person walking the street stopped to look at our sign which says, “He is alive and risen, come as you are.” This person was overwhelmed with anger and rage, stepped over the small fence to be closer to the sign, and started speaking loud profanities. The profanities and ranting continued as this person continued walking down the street, although no one was on the street to hear. That my friends is spiritual wickedness. It is this wickedness we have to defeat before we see the victory in the natural and welcome new visitors through the doors of FBC. People will start coming back to church once the cloud of darkness is pushed back from this town. We all have a part in doing this.
What is happening in heavenly places in this town is being led by FBC as the little tribe of Benjamin moves forward. As I said, satan always does something to try to discredit God. The Lord gave Benjamin those colors, and the devil is trying to steal it from us today. It might not look like we are winning the battle, but when satan comes against us, even in the form of a random person walking down the street cursing the words on our sign, it becomes clear that we are in the threshold of a blessing. We will continue to do what we are doing. The enemy may buffet us, but he cannot stop us. FBC is standing on our belief in the miracle wonder working power of Jesus Christ. Stay in the offense and continue to push, for we at FBC are standing on a major breakthrough in this town.
