TAKE
BACK THE RAINBOW
The rainbow is God’s artwork that His very hand places in the clouds as a sign of His covenant with Man. It is a sign of God’s peace with man, so that man would never fear the destruction of mankind by water. Genesis 9:13-17. The rainbow is a sign of God’s kindness, mercy, and peace to all men. Isaiah 54: 9-10. The rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day is a glimpse of the glory of the Lord. Ezekiel 1:28. The very throne of God is surrounded by a rainbow. Revelation 4:3. The devil’s intent is revealed in Isaiah: “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds and be like the Most High.” Isaiah 14:14. THE DEVIL WANTS THAT RAINBOW!
The enemy calls it the pride rainbow. Pride in what? Pride in the things that mock God. The Lord has a lot to say about pride. God hates pride. Proverbs 8:13. Pride is an abomination to God. Proverbs 16:15. Pride results in destruction and strife. Proverbs 16:18, 13:10. Pride is defined as inordinate self-esteem and unreasonable conceit of one’s superiority in contempt of others. Contempt of others? It is synonymous with hating others. A person full of hatred cannot fulfill the command of the Lord Jesus to love God and your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39.
The pride rainbow is intended by the enemy to mock God’s covenant with man, to mock God’s glory, to mock His throne, and to mock His Word. It is not a rainbow of love and tolerance, but one that flaunts sexual sin and intolerance to anyone opposed to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer lifestyles. Make no mistake about it, these are all abominations that mock God. The bible is very clear about this, there is no other way to interpret these scriptures. “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.” Leviticus 18:22. “If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination.” Leviticus 20:13. “A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God.” Deuteronomy 22:5. A real eye opener is found in the Book of Romans.
“For this reason God gave them over to their own disgraceful and vile passions. Enflamed with lust for one another, men and women ignored the natural order and exchanged normal sexual relations for homosexuality. Women engaged in lesbian conduct, and men committed shameful acts with men, receiving in themselves the due penalty for their deviation.”
Romans 1:26-27 TPT.
David asks: “How long will the enemy mock you God?” Psalm 74:10. He prays:
“Rise up O God and defend your cause; remember how fools mock you all day long.” Psalm 74:22. Hezekiah pleads: “Give ear Lord and hear, open your eyes and see, listen to all the words Sennacherib has sent to mock the living God.” Isaiah 37:1. Most importantly, Paul declares, God will not be mocked! Galatians 6:7. Zephaniah warns that there are consequences for mocking God: “This is what they will get in return for their pride, for insulting and mocking the people of the Lord Almighty.” Zephaniah 2:10. And finally, Isaiah decrees the consequences: “Stop mocking or your chains will become heavier; the Lord, the Lord Almighty, has told me of the destruction decreed against the whole land. Isaiah 28:22. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah? “In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.” Jude 1:7.
There is fear by many Christians that speaking the Word concerning the pride lifestyle may not be in line with the often-used excuse to “hate the sin but lover the sinner,” or even worse, that intolerance could be considered a hate crime. Make no mistake, complacency is acquiescence, and silence is tacitly condoning. Paul warns in Romans that there are consequences for the pride lifestyle. But he also warns that these consequences also befall those that approve the pride lifestyle, even if approval is by being complacent or silent. “Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things, but also approve of those who practice them.” Romans 1:32.
It’s time the Church of Jesus Christ stands up in their rightful place and take back His rainbow! How do we do this? Of course, pray. But also speak the Word. Speak it from the pulpits, speak it in the streets, speak it to the prideful person that doesn’t know the truth.
