Isaiah 9:6-7

This prophecy of Isaiah is truth. If you want to live victoriously and in God’s promises, you have to understand this book, the Bible, is truth. When Isaiah prophesied his words went into atmosphere and was destined to happen because these words are truth.

He spoke: “For unto US a child is born, a Son is given.”

We are the “US”. Not someone 400 years ago – unto US… to US. Right here and now, US!!

Who has ever given US a better gift than Jesus!

“The government shall be on His shoulders.”

All of the filth going on today, there is nothing we have to fear or worry about because Jesus is in control. Jesus knows what is going to happen, He is carrying it all. All the side effects of this filthiness have been dealt with already when Jesus died on the cross. He will bring truth and justice and peace to all the nations of the world. It doesn’t look like that now, but guess what, it’s coming!

“Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”

Wonderful: Those are very powerful names. That is what He is to US. “Wonderful” means inspiring delight. That’s what Jesus is – He is full of inspiring delight.

Counselor: He is our advocate, mentor, lawyer, teacher, advisor, and consultant. How many times in our lives do we need such people? All these names rolled into one, “Counselor”, and  that’s who Jesus is to US. He will help US through any crisis we have in our lives.

Mighty – Our God is ferocious. When the enemy is after US, we have a ferocious God that fights our battles. All we have to do is pray and trust God and know in our spirit that this is who and what our God Jesus is. This is what will propel US and give US victory in all seasons of our lives.

Everlasting father – He is our Father forever and ever. He will never leave US and he will always take care of US. That’s what He is to each and every one of US.

Prince of Peace – A prince is a royal ruler. That means we owe Him our respect and our thanksgiving. We owe Him everything. All He asks in return is that we come to Him and we trust Him. He knows what is best for US. He leads US and guides US and gives US peace. Peace comes in our lives when we know and understand His way is the best for US. When you understand Jesus that Jesus the Prince of Peace is the royal ruler over chaos, conflict, loneliness, and any crisis, it is this know that gives US peace.

As you go into this new year remember this message. You need  to know what kind of God He is. He doesn’t want you to just read about Him, sing about  Him or quote what you read or heard. He wants you to know Him and connect with His spirit. He is a good, good God. We will never be overcome in this world. We are destined to be overcomers. When we trust God, we do not get run over by the devil. We are the overcomers. Get that into your spirit and understand it. For unto US a child is born, a Son is given.
