WE ARE A SPIRIT FILLED CHURCH WITH A RICH BAPTIST HERITAGE
-
We believe in one true God, maker of all things (Colossians 1:16), and that God reveals Himself in the Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
-
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testament, is the enduring and inspired Word of God revealed to Man. We believe the Bible is error-free as it is the precise and accurate authority from God of how man is to conduct himself, and that it is superior to man’s conscience, reasoning, or justification (1 Peter 1:23, 2 Peter 1:21, 2 Timothy 3:15-17).
-
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He was born of a Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit, and that He is true God and true man (Matthew 1:23).
-
We believe Jesus lived a sinless life (1 Peter 2:22), and that through His death and His resurrection from the dead that our sins, past, present, and future, have been forgiven (Matthew 28:6, 1 Corinthians 15:3).
-
We believe in the resurrection of the dead, that those who receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will be resurrected with a glorified body and live in eternal happiness with God (1 Corinthians 15:42), and those that die rejecting Jesus Christ will face eternal separation from God (Revelation 20:15).
-
We believe that our salvation comes only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and we are saved when we believe the Lord Jesus is the Son of God who died for our sins and we confess and believe He has Lordship over our lives (Acts 2:21, Romans 10:9).
-
We believe that we are made holy by the blood of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 10:10), and through God’s grace we can live a life of righteousness and holiness, separate from this world (Ephesians 4:24, Ephesians 2:8.
-
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit distinct from the new birth experience and its availability to all believers. We believe, according to 1 Corinthians 12, in the manifestation of the nine gifts of the Spirit and their operation in the church. (Acts 1:4-5, Acts 2:4).
-
We believe in water baptism by immersion as a declaration to others that we are identified as disciples of Jesus Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Matthew 28:19).
-
We believe in celebrating Holy Communion by partaking in the bread and the cup in remembrance of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 11:24, 25).
-
We believe that divine healing is a part of our salvation which was provided by the death and resurrection of Jesus (Matthew 8:17, Matthew 10:8).
-
We believe in the Christian hope – the imminent, personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe the dead in Christ will rise, and we who are alive will meet them in the air and we will forever be with our Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
